ALLOW explores the idea of minimising design intervention by allowing the wearer’s body to complete the form-making process. A single piece of cloth is zipped into a tube and when worn, a three-dimensional draped silhouette naturally emerges. The fabric is woven from a stretchy washi-blend yarn that evokes a stone-like texture. Loosely twisted washi and cotton yarns are used in the weft, while low-density stretch yarns in the warp enhance the fabric’s inherent heathered appearance.
