EARTHED MOSAIC

A series of expressive checkered patterns made from a combination of five colors drawn from the natural world. Cotton and wool yarns are used selectively according to color and weave structure, and felting is applied after weaving, producing natural unevenness from the differences in shrinkage rate between the materials. Combining two kinds of checkered patterns, the design adds color to winter outfits that tend to look dark.
