The CUBE at ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA / 445 presents a special exhibition, “GOOD PRINTER” by GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE.

“GOOD PRINTER” is an instrument that continuously prints on fabric using unique technology. First activated in the summer of 2025 at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3 through a collaboration between GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE and the engineering collective nomena, the printing device is once again set in motion.

The word "print" not only refers to design or printing, but also includes the act of leaving a trace or mark on something. For example, patterns made with your finger on a fogged-up window or the unexpected tracks left by a bicycle tire could be considered a print. This exhibition is a factory where such moments of coincidence and creativity come together to produce captivating prints.

Visitors can interact with the working machine, and through their curiosity, or even unconscious movements, create recorded printed patterns, which constantly shift and overlap. Unlike a regular factory, no same pattern will ever be printed twice. The fabric will later be used in products.

Also available are bags designed using the fabric printed by GOOD PRINTER during its operation at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3 in the summer of last year.
