KUMO SHIBORI KNIT SHEER

This series is made from a light, sheer, knitted fabric created using ramie-blend yarn, and was treated with the Kumo Shibori process in Arimatsu, a production area for traditional Shibori tie-dying. Using the Kumo Shibori process, the fabric at the collar and cuffs is tied by hand, and the entire piece is further wound and bound into a spherical shape before being treated with a high-temperature, high-pressure wrinkling process. The material, which offers a cool feel and moderate tautness, is finished with a three-dimensional look.
